Roman Wall Diving

A real divers playground, Roman wall offers a diverse range of sights all in one place. Green Turtles, Octopus, and various other marine life will calmly swim by you as you take in the sights of old anchors and Roman Amphorae.

This site is well suited to beginner divers due to the maximum depth of 6m and added features to ensure an easy and convenient entry and exit. Getting hooked on diving here would be no problem at all!

Achilleas Wreck

Achilleas Shipwreck

Situated at a modest depth of 8m resting on the ocean’s floor, the former cargo ship is a great wreck dive that can be experienced by beginners and more confident divers alike.

Covered in gorgonians and sponges, the bronze propeller remains intact and makes for great viewing as the sunlight shines off it. Great visibility and calm conditions mean this site is accessible and ideal all year round for all divers.

The wreck is also an artificial marine reserve, meaning you’ll find an abundance of incredible marine life to go along with the fascinating wreckage!

Best Time to go Diving in Paphos

It’s hard to go wrong choosing a time to go diving in Paphos. as the destination sees pleasant conditions year round. However, you’ll find peak diving conditions from March to November. Warm, crystal clear, calm blue waters await you at this time of year.

As mentioned though, Cyprus has one of the longest dive seasons in the Mediterranean and is largely missed by many of the storms. This means it’s one of the few year-round diving destinations in the area.

Visibility is usually great all year, the waters remain calm and at least mild if not warm. What’s more, it’s highly likely you’ll get sunny weather with warm temperatures above the surface too!

If you’re looking at booking an experience through a tour company in Paphos, you’ll find prices between $80-$100. The price includes gear rental so there are no extra fees.

In addition, a PADI Open Water Certification will set you back around $500, if that’s what you’re looking for.
